Rebirth of a legend! The ancient scaly decoration coming from China, introduced in Herend in the 1850s, is as popular today as ever. The scales painted with great care and thoroughness prove astonishing creativity. In recent years, the typical Herend fishnet pattern not only appeared on figurines, but also on services and ornamental pieces. A novelty from the Herend Porcelain Manufactory is that Herend masters “play” with the legendary fishnet pattern: they geometrically fill just me parts of porcelain items rather than painting the whole surface. This new variant is full of gracefulness, adventure and excitement.
