A special, unique masterpiece made by the Herend Porcelain Manufactory for the 2019 Frankfurt Ambiente. From designing to the last firing, the making of the nearly one-meter-high ornamental vase worthily represents the craft traditions of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory preserved for centuries. The impressive vase consists of 83 pieces of basic elements and 44 pieces of different sized butterflies. The moving, precise and perfect assembly of these pieces requires extraordinary concentration being the peak of handcraft porcelain making. Throughout the designing process the plaster molds weighed more than 500 kg and 106 individually handmade plastic flowers were put on the raw porcelain. Thus, a total of 233 pieces are forming a perfect unit. It is especially interesting that the vase was painted with glossy and matte paints as well. The butterflies almost come alive on the mainly snow-white body of the vase. This exceptional ornamental vase is dazzlingly unique in size, decoration, and professional work, and proudly proclaims to posterity the craftsmanship and value of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory as well as its incomparable uniqueness in the world.
